Perfection: How God's Definition Changes Everything

Perfection is a word many of us carry with weight, assumptions, and pressure. But what if God’s definition of perfection is different from the one we’ve learned to live by? Jesus’ words, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48), invite us to pause and look more closely at what He meant—and what He didn’t mean. Scripture reminds us that God is the One at work within us (Philippians 2:13) and that our lives with Him are marked by growth in grace (2 Peter 3:18). In this study, we’ll explore how God’s understanding of perfection reshapes our view of faith, holiness, and freedom, and why His definition truly changes everything.
